Springboard

What is the Training, Bridging, and Springboard Program?

Our Training & Bridging Program is designed to equip new mortgage advisers with the practical skills needed to thrive in the industry. While your New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) provides the theoretical foundation, the reality of working as a mortgage adviser requires understanding the “how” behind it all.

This program covers everything from filling out paperwork to reading and interpreting lender documents, calculating the best deals for clients, and submitting applications. Our goal is to bridge the gap between certification and hands-on practice, ensuring you have the knowledge and confidence to work effectively with a Financial Advice Provider (FAP).

You’ll also have access to our resources section, where you can find documents from a variety of banks, including compliance documents, templates, and more. The key difference? You’ll now know how to search, use, and apply this information in real-world scenarios, making you fully prepared to hit the ground running.

Why Is This Important?

FAPs are seeking individuals who can step into their roles and immediately provide value. Completing your certification is just the beginning—having the practical know-how to use that knowledge effectively in a fast-paced environment is what makes you stand out.

With the NZMAI Training & Bridging Program, you’ll gain the confidence to:

  • Navigate lender paperwork and compliance documents.
  • Apply critical thinking to find the best solutions for your clients.
  • Manage client relationships with professionalism and expertise.
  • Use the latest tools and resources to optimize your work processes.

By enrolling in this program, you’re not just learning—you’re ensuring you’re job-ready from day one, making you an attractive candidate for FAPs looking to add skilled mortgage advisers to their teams.
